DeKalb Chamber Recognizes Seven Local Businesses at 2017 APEX Business Awards

Seven businesses were honored at the DeKalb Chamber of Commerce 2017 APEX Business Awards on May 25 at the Georgia Piedmont Technical College, Conference Center.

The APEX Business Awards recognizes local businesses for their exemplary standards and contributions to DeKalb County and the metro Atlanta region,” said Katerina Taylor, president and CEO of DeKalb Chamber. “We are thankful for the contributions of these businesses. Their continued success is crucial to the growth and sustainability in DeKalb.”

The award recipients included:

Business Advocacy: Discover DeKalb Convention and Visitors Bureau

Business of the Year ($1 to 5 million): Seven Oaks Company

Business of the Year ($5 to 10 million): APD Solutions

Business of the Year ($10 to 20 million): Gas South

Community Workforce: Senior Connections

Emerging Business: Intown Doula

Youth Initiative: Mokipops

Catherine Downey, Founder, CEO & Creative Director of CATMEDIA served as the keynote speaker, sharing how she founded CATMEDIA and evolved it into a highly-respected company.
