Sheltering Arms, Georgia’s largest nonprofit early education and child care organization, announced that it has been awarded a $2 million grant from The Goizueta Foundation.
The grant will be used to expand science, technology, engineering, art and math and project-based learning, support initiatives that increase Sheltering Arms’ capacity to serve dual-language learners, and to provide need-based tuition assistance for students and training scholarships for teachers at the agency’s Georgia Training Institute.
“We are very appreciative of The Goizueta Foundation’s continued support of Sheltering Arms,” said Blythe Keeler Robinson, President and CEO. “This grant will help us continue providing affordable, quality education for the community’s youngest learners, and critically-needed child development and family support training for early learning professionals across the state and the southeast.”
The Goizueta Foundation applauds organizations that develop innovative initiatives and seeks to enhance its knowledge in the field of early childhood education through its support of Sheltering Arms.
