Friday, September 15th, 2017
After 20 years in the landscaping industry, Dixie Speck, founder of Solterra Landscape, is ready to pursue other interests. On August 19, 2017, she formally turned over her ownership shares to business partner and new CEO Peter Speck. Clients are expected to notice little change.
Dixie says, “I am grateful to Solterra’s clients and all who have supported our growth since we started 13 years ago. My passion for creating beautiful outdoor spaces has now become Peter’s passion. He’s excited to continue serving Solterra’s clients as the new CEO and President.”
Peter commented, “A few years after Dixie founded Solterra, I came on board to grow our maintenance business while expanding the number of unique outdoor spaces we could design and install for discerning clients. We’ll all miss Dixie’s involvement in Solterra, but our clients can be assured their property will continue to be well taken care of with the help of Solterra’s outstanding staff and maintenance crews.
Dixie’s future includes returning to her first love — the world of technology — and utilizing her degree in Electrical Engineering.
