Staff Report From Metro Atlanta CEO
Monday, October 30th, 2017
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport will bring job seekers and potential employers together at the Airport Community Job Fair on Oct. 31.
More than 1,000 jobs will be available at the free event, which runs from 10 a.m.-4 p.m. at the Georgia International Convention Center. It will feature more than 60 employers from throughout the Airport community.
The fall job fair will include a wide variety of positions, from cashiers and cooks to administrators and accountants. Those interested in project manager and engineering jobs will also find a number of options, particularly as ATLNext, the Airport’s multibillion-dollar capital improvement program, moves forward.
The fair will feature a career coach to assist with online applications, resume critiques and WorkSource training registration. Hartsfield-Jackson conducts two job fairs each year.
The GICC offers limited parking available for $5. Attendees are advised to ride MARTA to the Airport station, connect with ATL’s free SkyTrain and then exit at the Gateway/GICC station.
Attendees are urged to dress in business attire and bring at least 10 clean resumes. To register as a job seeker, go to https://www.eventbrite.com/e/airport-community-job-fair-october-2017-registration-38081016345.
Walk-in candidates are welcome.
