Mark Spain Real Estate Opens Marietta Office to Strengthen Metro Atlanta Presence

Staff Report From Metro Atlanta CEO

Wednesday, October 11th, 2017

Mark Spain Real Estate’s third metro Atlanta officially opened Monday, October 2, 2017, in Marietta at 1395 South Marietta Parkway near the famous Cobb County landmark, the Big Chicken. The office is located in Suite 200 of Building 500 in the American Business Center plaza, which is also home to the Tesla service center.

This is the fourth overall location in Georgia for Mark Spain Real Estate, which is based in Alpharetta, and has locations in Stockbridge and Athens. According to the Marietta office Director of Sales of Cindy Krampetz, who grew up in and lives in West Cobb, the opening of the Marietta office will also put agents closer to the clients they serve. “Everyone on the team lives and works in western metro Atlanta and so is very familiar with the area. We currently have 25 agents to open the office and expect to be at 35 agents by the end of the year.”

At full capacity, the Mark Spain Cobb office will be home to 42 real estate professionals. According to Krampetz, their goal is to help 750 families annually in the western metro Atlanta area with their home buying or selling needs.

"We knew having a real estate office to serve this northwest corridor was becoming essential. Our goal is to strategically set up locations convenient for our clients while, at the same time, be in or near areas our agents live,” explained Mark Spain Real Estate President John Makarewicz. “That way, they better understand the community and it adds quality of life to the agents because they spend less time commuting to work. At the same time, they are providing far better quality of service and expertise to our clients.”
The Mark Spain Real Estate team of agents has sold houses in all 14 counties that make up metro Atlanta. With 1,842 closings last year alone, they averaged more than five homes sold per day. According to Makarewicz, they are on pace to best that number this year.

In 2016—the year Mark Spain took his nationally recognized team independent—the company opened a second office in Athens, Ga. and expanded to a total of 125 team members. The Marietta office is the second of three Mark Spain Real Estate offices opening in 2017. A third location, focusing on the eastern part of metro Atlanta, in Gwinnett County, is expected in the next 60 days.

The firm’s rapid growth has not gone unnoticed. Mark Spain Real Estate was honored earlier this year by the Atlanta Business Chronicle with the Pacesetter Award. This award annually recognizes Atlanta’s top 100 fastest-growing privately held companies with a track record for taking their business to the next level. In July, Mark Spain and his team earned the No. 2 ranking in the country for closed transactions on “The Thousand Top Real Estate Professionals,” a prominent national awards ranking, sponsored annually by REAL Trends and advertised in The Wall Street Journal.
