Metro Atlanta Chamber to Host “Our Future Workforce: The Business Case for High Quality Child Care” with Sandra Deal and Dennis Lockhart

Staff Report From Metro Atlanta CEO

Tuesday, October 24th, 2017

The Metro Atlanta Chamber will host a morning event highlighting the economic case for high quality child care. “Our Future Workforce: The Business Case for Quality Child Care” will feature presentations and panels from experts in the field and key Atlanta leaders, including First Lady Sandra Deal and Dennis Lockhart. In the context of global competition for innovation, human talent and productivity, American businesses are facing a workforce crisis – an insufficient workforce with the skills that business needs to fill existing and new job openings. To address this growing skills gap, Georgia must reconsider the entire education pipeline, starting with high-quality early education and care. First Lady Deal will be on-hand for a media avail after the event to discuss education in the state.
