Thursday, November 30th, 2017
Atlanta BeltLine, Inc. is seeking bids for construction of the remainder of the Eastside Trail’s southern extension to Memorial Drive. The project represents the second phase of a two-stage project to extend the trail from the prior terminus at Irwin Street, originally completed in 2012. The first phase of the project extended the trail beneath Hulsey Yard to Kirkwood Avenue in Reynoldstown and was officially opened in November 2017.
Like all newly-built Atlanta BeltLine trails, this project will include lighting, security cameras, and ADA access points as appropriate. The project will also include the construction of vertical connections at the Mauldin Street/Fulton Terrace Bridge, streetscape improvements along Mauldin Street/Fulton Terrace, and pedestrian intersection improvements at Memorial Drive and Bill Kennedy Way.
Bids are due on January 18, 2018. A mandatory pre-bid conference and site visit will be held on Tuesday, December 12 at 1:00 p.m. Click here to view the full Invitation to Bid.
