Following the relaunch of the brand's comprehensive instructor training program in 2017, Club Pilates, the nation's largest premium boutique Pilates franchise, unveiled its first east coast training studio in Atlanta. As Club Pilates continues to expand across the country, the need for a training facility to service the growing number of instructors and sales staff is the next step in supporting their Franchisees. The new facility in Atlanta offers Club Pilates' east coast staff further support with the highest quality education to provide an even higher-quality experience for members.
The 3,500 square foot multi-purpose training studio, located at 2270 Northwest Parkway in Marietta, Ga., comes fully equipped with 18 Pilates Reformers and capacity for 20 students in the classroom. In an effort to continue proprietary training efforts, the new training facility creates a centralized hub on the east coast for staff to participate in General Manager trainings, monthly Bridge Training where instructors learn the Club Pilates method, Teacher Training in-studio sessions and Master Trainer Summits.
"The new training facility in Atlanta is the ultimate reflection of Club Pilates striving to exceed industry standards," said Sarah Luna, SVP of Operations at Club Pilates. "Our instructors are the heart of our brand. By providing the support and resources that our instructors need for success, we are able to deliver an exceptional Pilates experience that our members know and expect. Additionally, our studio General Managers take on the responsibility of managing the local business and require training from sales to operations to marketing so that they can build a community in and around the vibrant studio."
Complementing the new training facility, Club Pilates has recently relaunched its Teacher Training program. The program is the only 500-hour comprehensive Pilates educational platform that also includes specialty certifications in group fitness such as TRX, Barre, and TriggerPoint – making graduates exponentially more marketable than their peers. Club Pilates has further developed the program by implementing CANVAS, a college accredited online learning platform where students can watch the lecture portions prior to attending the first of the in-studio, applied learning sessions. Participants wishing to enroll can do so at any time of the year by enrolling online and visiting a local Club Pilates studio to complete the necessary hours of education.
Students of Club Pilates' Teacher Training program are also offered a direct career path through Club Pilates' apprenticeship program. Through the apprenticeship program, students can apply to lead class under the mentorship of a Master Trainer, once they reach the halfway point in their Teacher Training program. Graduates are encouraged to apply for an instructor position at any one of the 300 open Club Pilates locations.
Club Pilates currently employs more than 2,000 instructors nationwide. As the popularity of Pilates continues its astronomical growth, the brand anticipates hiring 1,600 more instructors this year, many of which will be trained at the new Atlanta facility.
