Wednesday, March 14th, 2018
Daniel Britt joins the Alzheimer’s Association® as the 2018 Event Chair for Dancing Stars of Atlanta.
“It’s an honor and quite a privilege to be the chair for Dancing Stars of Atlanta”, added Daniel Britt. “I have personally been walking this path of Alzheimer’s for the past four years through a close family member. I know first-hand the importance of the Alzheimer’s Association and how they support people living with Alzheimer’s and their caregivers. Every Dancing Stars of Atlanta event offers the opportunity not only to raise funds but to also truly spread awareness about the disease. Almost everyone will be touched by the disease in some capacity whether it is a family member or friend”.
Dancing Stars of Atlanta is an event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research programs. Eleven Metro Atlanta business leaders and philanthropists raise money by gaining votes in a one-night gala dance competition. Supporters can vote online for their favorite dancer prior to the event.
“We could not be more thrilled and lucky to have Dan as our chair this year for Dancing Stars of Atlanta”, added Larrica Hubbard, manager, Dancing Stars of Atlanta. “Dan danced in 2015 and since then he has been an instrumental volunteer and champion for our organization and believes in our vision of a world without Alzheimer’s disease”.
Dancing Stars of Atlanta will take place on Saturday, April 21, 2018 at Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta. In 2017, Dancing Stars of Atlanta raised over $860,000 for Alzheimer’s care, support and research with the Alzheimer’s Association. 2017 winners included Teri Schneider, Judge’s Choice winner, Ken Covers, Co People’s Choice winner and Suzanne Dansby, Co People’s Choice winner.
