Naranga Founder Tariq Farid announced that long-time VP of Technology Solutions and Delivery at Naranga, Faraz Iqbal, has been named Chief Operating Officer of the Atlanta-based franchise IT solutions and operations software company.

Iqbal, who has been with Naranga since its launch more than four years ago, will oversee all of Naranga's day-to-day operations as it continues an assertive campaign to expand its brand globally. In his new position, he will be responsible for providing the leadership, management and the strategy necessary to ensure that effective operational controls, administrative procedures, and people systems are in place to continuously meet and exceed the company's overall objective.

"From day one, Faraz has continuously provided visionary leadership, innovation, creativity and world-class customer service practices to the company," Farid said. "I can't think of anyone we would rather have in this position as we embark on our next phase of growth."

Iqbal, who has more than two decades of expertise managing software application development and client service initiatives coupled with hands-on experience in designing and developing application tools, was most recently VP of Technology Solutions and Delivery at Naranga. In that position he played an integral role in the dramatic growth that has made Naranga a leader in providing IT solutions and operations software for franchise businesses.

"Naranga is a true technology leader in franchising," said Iqbal. "Over the last four years, I have been privileged to be a part of the innovation and world-class customer services, and have witnessed the accelerated growth we have enjoyed. In addition to being a franchise operations software partner, we are also a "Franchise Solutions" concept, where we allow clients to tell us exactly what they're looking for, and through our consulting and franchise expertise we are able to provide them with a tailored package for continued success. There couldn't be a better time to lead this company towards further and greater achievements."

Urban Bricks Founder and CEO Sammy Aldeeb, a long-time Naranga client, said of Iqbal's appointment, "As the person behind my reason for joining Naranga and continuously recommending the software to many more franchisors, I wish him luck and more success! I can't wait to see the significant impact his ideas and strategies will bring to the software."
