The Georgia Department of Transportation’s Metro Atlanta (District 7) Office is holding a job fair March 27 in Chamblee to hire entry level maintenance personnel.

Scheduled interviews will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at 5025 New Peachtree Road, Chamblee Georgia 30341.

The Department is looking for eager and dedicated employees to help maintain interstates and state routes in the 6-county Metro Atlanta district. The district office is in Chamblee and area offices are located in Cobb, Clayton and DeKalb counties.

Basic applicant requirements are:

• minimum age 18

• have a high school diploma or a GED

• possess a valid Class C driver’s license

• must be able to pass a drug screen and criminal background check

New hires will receive on the job training in various maintenance duties. Benefits offered by the Department include health insurance and paid Commercial Driver’s License training and testing. New hires must obtain a Georgia CDL within six months of employment.
