April is clean up month in College Park, where public works will collect curbside yard debris, broken furniture, appliances, sinks, tubs and tires (up to 4 per household). This, in addition to the normal weekly sanitation, leaves and grass clippings.
Please take this opportunity to clean out your garage, basement or closets; place the unwanted items curbside for pickup. They will be removed on your normal twice-weekly sanitation collection days.
Get ready for additional collections of items - including hazardous waste and the shredding of sensitive documents; both to occur on Saturday, April 21 from 9am - 2pm.
