Anoop Mishra has been named vice president and regional executive for the Birmingham Branch, announced Raphael Bostic, president and chief executive officer of the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta. Bostic also announced that Donna Fay will assume the duties of assistant vice president, corporate secretary, and assistant to President Raphael Bostic and First Vice President Marie Gooding.

Mishra will join the Atlanta Fed on April 30. As the vice president and regional executive for the Birmingham Branch, he will provide strategic support for the Regional Economic Information Network throughout Alabama, working with other regional executives to provide targeted economic intelligence.

Mishra founded and currently runs a business consulting practice. He was previously the chief executive officer of WorkforceQA, a mid-market provider of employment screening and compliance services, after its acquisition of EDPM, another employment screening firm, where he served as chief operating officer. He has also worked for Accenture as a manager in their strategy practice in financial services, as well as for ONB (now REV Birmingham), a nonprofit urban economic development group. He served on the Atlanta Fed’s Human Capital Advisory Council.

Mishra earned his bachelor's degree in political science and business administration from Birmingham–Southern College and a master's degree in business administration from the University of Pennsylvania's Wharton School.

Fay will oversee governance, planning, and administrative support for the Atlanta Fed's board of directors and board committees and supervise the executive support function, beginning May 1. Fay joined the Atlanta Fed in 1998 as a senior examiner in the Supervision, Regulation, and Credit Division and was promoted to director of wealth management and operation risk in 2005. She was then named director of the quality assurance group in 2010. After successfully leading the quality assurance group for four years, Fay became director of the regional bank organization holding company unit in SRC.

Fay earned a bachelor's degree from the University of South Florida and a master’s degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina.a
