Braves to Honor the Life & Legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. with Pregame and In-Game Activities

To mark the 50th anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s assassination, the Atlanta Braves will honor and commemorate his legacy with several game day activities before and during their game vs. the Washington Nationals, including:
10 a.m.: Joe Torre, Ralph Garr and Felix Millan, members of the 1968 Atlanta Braves will be available to media in Suite 12 of the Konica Minolta Center to talk about April 4, 1968
11 a.m.: The Ebenezer Baptist Church choir will take the Georgia Power Pavilion Stage in The Battery Atlanta Plaza for a special pregame performance
11:56 a.m.: A special video tribute of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. on BravesVision
11:59 a.m.: Performance of "Lift Every Voice and Sing" by the Ebenezer Baptist Church choir
Noon: Joe Torre, a member of the 1968 Atlanta Braves and currently MLB's Chief Baseball Officer, will throw out the ceremonial first pitch
12:01 p.m.: Moment of silence
12:02 p.m.: Ebenezer Baptist Church choir to sing the National Anthem
12:10 p.m.: The Braves will take the field with a special commemorative Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. patch
7th inn. stretch: Dr. Patrice E. Turner, Ebenezer Baptist Church Music Director, will perform "God Bless America"
