SANS Institute, the global leader in cyber security training, today announced the agenda for SANS Atlanta 2018 taking place May 29 - June 3 in Georgia. Included among the course line-up is SEC511: Continuous Monitoring and Security Operations. This course teaches security professionals the skills to proactively detect threats, including how to analyze threats and detect anomalies that could indicate cybercriminal behavior.

According to SANS Certified Instructor, David Mashburn (@d_mashburn), "The SEC511 course really excels in several areas. From a content perspective, the class covers many practical security enhancements that can be readily implemented, whether to enhance security architecture, improve visibility and logging, or to assist with threat hunting activities. In addition to the core content, the course has a tremendous set of lab activities. The volume and depth of the hands-on exercises set this course apart. Students will leave the course with a very specific list of action items and be able to demonstrate the value of the training their first day back at work."
