Imago Techmedia, a U.K.-based event group, announced the launch of the first annual Cyber Security Atlanta conference and exposition. The event will take place from October 17-18, 2018 at the Georgia World Congress Center.
Cyber Security Atlanta aims to bring together thousands of security and information technology professionals to discuss the cyber concerns facing businesses today and network with practitioners that are innovating within the industry. Speakers at this year’s event include executives from RSA, Akamai Technologies and Darktrace with sessions focused on a wide array of topics ranging from endpoint management to encryption and threat intelligence solutions.
This event comes as the first expansion of the Cyber Security Event Series that premiered in Chicago last October, which attracted big name speakers such as world famous hacker Kevin Mitnick and Supervisory Special Agent from the FBI’s Criminal and National Security Cyber Investigations unit, Daniel Wierzbicki.
“Last year, we hand selected Chicago because the city had a booming cyber market that was growing significantly,” said David Juniper, Director of Events at Imago Techmedia. “We see the same growth happening in the Atlanta market, and know the region has been waiting for an event like this. Expanding the Cyber Security Event Series to Atlanta was the next logical step and we’re thrilled to make it a reality.”
“Cyber security is one of the biggest points of concern for organizations right now,” added Juniper. “Despite the uncertainty of what’s to come, there is a strong desire among security and IT professionals to discuss and tackle the hard issues facing the industry. Our goal is for Cyber Security Atlanta to inspire the discussions that lead to solutions."
Imago Techmedia has more than a decade of experience bringing technologists and business leaders together to keep pace with the news and trends that matter most to the tech industry. In addition to attracting the biggest names in cyber security, the group has also partnered with major technology companies such as Microsoft and Cisco to exhibit at its industry leading technology events based throughout Europe, including IP EXPO Europe and Cyber Security Europe.
