Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau presented a $2,500 check to American Society of Association Executives for the third straight year at Update Atlanta in Washington, D.C. The donation benefits innovation, leadership and research to enrich the association community.
“ACVB prides itself on its continued partnership with ASAE,” said Mark Vaughan, executive vice president and chief sales officer, ACVB. “Associations all over the country benefit from the work of this foundation and we are pleased to support its efforts.”
"ACVB's support of the ASAE Foundation continues to provide the opportunity to expand our research initiatives and examine major trends impacting the association community," said Garet Turner, CMP, ASAE Vice President, Development. "This new gift was made with support from the Atlanta partners and is being matched by Atlanta in addition to their usual matching support. This firmly demonstrated the city of Atlanta’s commitment to our industry and their understanding of associations’ impact on society."
As part of ACVB’s yearly sales efforts, Update Atlanta informs potential clients of the city’s recent development and newest meeting offerings. Nearly 75 percent of Atlanta’s convention business is association-based. The ASAE Annual Meeting & Exposition will take place in Atlanta in 2022.
