Frazier & Deeter Announces Tommy Zavieh as New Leader of National R&D Tax Credit Practice

Frazier & Deeter announced the addition of Tommy Zavieh, CPA, MBA, MST as the firm’s newest Principal. Zavieh has more than 20 years of professional and consulting experience, 14 of which have been dedicated to R&D Tax Credits. Zavieh joins the firm’s tax practice, where he will provide leadership to the firm’s National Research & Development Tax Credit Practice.

Before joining Frazier & Deeter, Zavieh was Senior Manager with KPMG’s tax practice, where he served as the leader of the R&D Tax Credit practice for the Southeast Region. He has extensive experience in addressing complex business and tax needs including: domestic and international R&D Tax Credit compliance, ASC 740 and other specialty tax services.

Zavieh’s industry expertise includes the areas of automotive, bio-sciences, consumer products, financial services, manufacturing, medical devices, oil/gas, pharmaceutical and technology.

Zavieh graduated from Pace University, Lubin School of Business, in New York, where he received his BBA in Accounting, an MBA and an MS in Taxation. He has had articles published in both the Upstate Business Journal and Bloomberg BNA. Zavieh is also fluent in French and Farsi.
