Georgia State Appoints New Director of Auditing and Advisory Services

Wanda Lynn Riley, former chief audit and risk executive and director of audit and advisory services at the University of California, Berkeley, has been appointed director of university auditing and advisory services at Georgia State University.
She also was a member of the internal audit leadership team for the University of California System.
Riley succeeds Sterling Roth, who retired in February after 14 years as Georgia State’s chief auditor.
“Wanda Lynn Riley brings an impressive record of achievement in higher education to Georgia State,” said Mark Becker, president of the university. “Her knowledge and vast experience in risk management and audit services are valuable and important assets that will contribute to leadership decision-making, and her work will ensure the university continues to meet the highest ethical standards.”
Riley joined the University of California, Berkeley in 2008 after four years as director of audit and advisory services at the University of California, Santa Barbara. From 1997 to 2004, she was director of internal audit and advisory services and special assistant to the vice president for finance and administration, director of risk management and audit services, and director of internal audit and advisory services at Boise State University.
She joined Boise State after four years as associate controller and revenue accounting manager at Tuskegee (Ala.) University. Riley began her professional career as a senior accountant for audit services at Deloitte & Touche in Atlanta.
Riley earned a bachelor’s degree in accounting with highest honors at Hampton (Va.) University.
