The Council for Quality Growth has named Rebekah Babovic to the position of Director of Membership and Programs for the growing not-for-profit trade association based in Atlanta.

The Chason Group, an executive recruitment firm specializing in not-for-profits, chambers of commerce,
economic development organizations and foundations, assisted the Council with the search.

“Rebekah brings a tremendous amount of experience and knowledge to the Council’s team of professionals,” according to Council President and CEO Michael Paris.  “The organization is in a tremendous growth mode in terms of programs, membership and advocacy for the business community in metro Atlanta. I believe her expertise and strong background in non-profits will be a significant advantage for internal and external operations.”

Babovic previously served as Director of Events with the Columbia Chamber of Commerce, Columbia, South Carolina. Originally from middle Georgia, she has held the Events Manager position for the Forsyth-Monroe County Chamber of Commerce and traveled abroad on cruise ships for Park West Gallery as Director of Sales for the high-end art company.

Babovic is a graduate of the University of Georgia with degrees in Italian Studies and Art History. She is also a 2014 graduate of Leadership Monroe, a member of the Small Business Council and the Diversity & Inclusion Council, both in Columbia, South Carolina.

“My continuous goal in life is to be a part of an organization that makes a difference in the everyday lives of people,” according to Babovic. “The Council will give me that very opportunity through promoting strategic economic planning, educating communities on growth and building leaders for the future.”

Babovic and her husband, Igor, are relocating to the Atlanta area with their two-year-old daughter.
