Atlanta Convention & Visitors Bureau hosted its largest-ever Hospitality Industry Briefing Wednesday at The Carter Center as the organization collaborated with the Atlanta Super Bowl Host Committee to present a Super Bowl LIII update to the city’s hospitality community. More than 400 industry attendees heard presentations covering a variety of aspects of the game including ancillary events, logistics, volunteer program, marketing initiatives and community engagement. ACVB and the host committee are working in tandem to plan and prepare Atlanta’s hospitality community for this large-scale event as more than one million attendees are estimated to visit Atlanta during the several days of festivities leading up to the game.
“We are excited for Super Bowl LIII, and this briefing allowed Atlanta’s host committee to share how ACVB’s members can get involved and further demonstrate the impact the game will have on the city,” said William Pate, president and CEO, ACVB. “Atlanta’s hospitality community is critical in creating a visitor’s first impression as they visit the destination.”
Super Bowl LIII, slated for Feb. 3, 2019 at Mercedes-Benz Stadium, returns to Atlanta for the third time in the city’s history. Atlanta also hosted the game in 1994 and 2000.
