The Advanced Technology Development Center, the state of Georgia’s technology incubator, is now accepting applications from high-growth technology startups for the ATDC Venture Showcase to New York City on November 28.

The application period is open from September 27 through 5 p.m. on October 12. Any Georgia-headquartered technology company raising a Series A round or higher is eligible. The companies selected to present in New York City chosen will be notified October 22 after the selection committee’s review of all applicants.

Companies that want to be considered should fill out an application form via this link. Applicants who have questions may email ATDC Interim Director Jane McCracken at [email protected].

Launched in early 2017, the ATDC Venture Showcase Series, which takes place in Boston and Silicon Valley, in addition to New York City, is an offshoot of the incubator’s Investor Connect program. It introduces investors to companies and is designed to facilitate targeted conversations and connections, McCracken said.

“These venture showcases have led to meaningful deal flow and were a critical part of our portfolio companies’ being able to attract $130 million in capital in 2017,” McCracken said.

“More than 100 venture capital firms on the West Coast and in the Northeast attended the first four Venture Showcases to see some of Georgia’s most promising technology companies. They now want to learn more about what’s happening here, so they’re coming to Georgia to meet even more of our high-potential companies.

“The caliber of our Georgia-based technology companies is compelling to the VC community and that’s helping the state attract more attention, and more importantly, investment dollars that support further growth and development of our tech ecosystem,” McCracken said.

The ATDC Venture Showcase Series is co-sponsored by Morris, Manning & Martin, Venture Atlanta, the Metro Atlanta Chamber, Aprio, DLA Piper, and Silicon Valley Bank, which will host the event at its New York offices.
