Affairs to Remember Gives $3M to Nonprofits

Staff Report From Metro Atlanta CEO

Wednesday, October 10th, 2018

Affairs to Remember, Atlanta’s greenest caterer and one of the largest privately held off-premise luxury caterers in the United States, today announced that it has donated and sponsored more than $3,000,000 in catering and event design services to local nonprofit organizations through its Legacy Giving program.

Now in its 10th year, the Legacy Giving program was created in late 2008 as a way for Affairs to Remember to give back to the community that it has now served for more than 40 years.

Dozens of nonprofits—through hundreds of fundraising events throughout Metro Atlanta—have been able to serve their beneficiaries and further their organizations’ goals through Affairs to Remember’s Legacy Giving program.

One of the many charitable organizations that has utilized the company’s Legacy Giving program for multiple years is Atlanta’s Gigi’s Playhouse Down Syndrome Achievement Center, an organization with the mission “to change the way the world views Down syndrome through national campaigns, educational programming, and by empowering individuals with Down syndrome, their families and the community.”

We value our partnership with Affairs to Remember and working with Kristy Cook and her team,” said Howie Rosenberg, executive director for Gigi’s Playhouse Atlanta. “Our annual Gala is our biggest fundraiser of the year and it’s important to work with a company that provides great food and customer service. Affairs to Remember has helped us ensure a memorable evening for our donors.”

The discounts and sponsorships that Affairs to Remember offers through its Legacy Giving program—for practically all nonprofits—gives the company the opportunity to affect real change in a multitude of initiatives.

Patrick Cuccaro, Managing Director, Affairs to Remember, said. “Legacy Giving affords the organizations we work with—that are engaged in important quality-of-life initiatives on a limited budget—the opportunity to host their fundraising galas and other fundraising activities at a luxury level without the luxury price tag.”

Affairs to Remember earlier this year won the prestigious Allie Award for ‘Best Off-Premise Catering’. Cuccaro said, “We’re honored to be able to bring our award-winning food and services to Atlanta’s charitable community and to the guests of fundraising galas who also find it important to give back and support the goals of so many deserving nonprofit organizations.”

Affairs to Remember’s Legacy Program is two pronged: Legacy Giving and Legacy Green, the latter being the company’s 10-year running sustainability program that has earned the company the designation of “Atlanta’s Greenest Caterer”. As part of its Legacy Green program, Affairs to Remember also donates food to the Atlanta Community Food Bank.

Cuccaro, who has been with Affairs to Remember for nearly 30 years and is the founder of the company’s Legacy Program, said, “We are truly grateful to be able to be stewards for so many nonprofit organizations and events throughout Atlanta, and Affairs to Remember will soon announce an expansion of its Legacy Giving program, growing its solid commitment to be a strong corporate citizen.”
