The long drive into work may be driving some professionals to quit their jobs, according to new research from global staffing firm Robert Half. More than 1 in 5 (23%) employees have left a job because of a bad commute; In Atlanta, that number is slightly higher at 26%.

While 39% of professionals reported their travel to and from the office has improved over the past 5 years, 22% said the trip has gotten worse. However, 40% of commuters in Atlanta surveyed said their commute has gotten better in the last 5 years, even though 71% of those respondents said their company hasn’t taken action.
