Competing in the CapTech National Food Fight, CapTech Atlanta raised $7,817 for the Atlanta Community Food Bank, equivalent to over 31,000 meals. The CapTech Food Fight is a friendly competition among the consulting firm's eight office locations. The check presentation took place at the Food Bank on November 28.
"We are honored to count on the support of our community as we work to end hunger by 2025. This generous donation brings us one step closer to reaching our goal of ensuring all our neighbors have access to the nutritious meals they need, when they need them," said Kyle Waide, the Atlanta Community Food Bank's President and CEO.
CapTech's National Food Fight, which takes place annually in November, raised over $115,000 this year for local food banks across the country. CapTech Atlanta competed against other offices to raise the most funds per capita for local food banks, increasing their funds raised for the Atlanta Community Food Bank over 380% from the 2017 fundraiser.
"Our office really rallied behind our continued partnership with the Atlanta Community Food Bank," said CapTech office lead Jon Bradway. "Knowing that more than one in five Georgia kids live in a food insecure household, it is humbling to see the combination of friendly competition and the generous nature of our employees to help fight hunger."
