Atlanta-based CPA firm Mauldin & Jenkins, LLC, has hired seasoned nonprofit executive Chris Fields to head the firm's new nonprofit advisory initiative, "MJ Nonprofit Advisors", to be launched late January 2019.

Fields began his career in the finance industry in 1992, and has since led several well-known nonprofit organizations to success in the greater Atlanta area.

Jeff Fucito, Partner in Charge of the Atlanta office, says Fields was the obvious choice for the job. 

"Chris has a strong reputation in the community and significant hands-on financial and operational experience with nonprofit organizations. He understands the mission of a nonprofit while still being able to provide practical financial solutions to help an organization accomplish their program objectives."

The idea behind MJ Nonprofit Advisors was to create a sector specifically to serve nonprofit organizations. "We wanted to provide nonprofits with a Chief Financial Officer and other financial outsourcing solutions so organizations don't have to hire full time in-house financial professionals," says Fucito, who is currently the Nonprofit Organizations Group Leader for Mauldin & Jenkins, LLC.

Fields brings over 25 years of experience working in the finance industry with over a decade specifically working with the nonprofit sector.
