Ogletree Deakins, one of the largest labor and employment law firms representing management, is pleased to announce that the firm has elevated Shontell Powell to shareholder. Powell practices in the firm’s Atlanta office and is one of 17 attorneys elected to the 2019 class of new shareholders.

Powell focuses her practice on occupational safety and health law, assisting employers in enforcement matters before the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission and state plan review boards across the United States. She also counsels employers on complex OSHA compliance issues. Prior to joining Ogletree Deakins, she worked in the Office of General Counsel at the Occupational Safety and Health Review Commission for over six years as an attorney-advisor.
