Taylor English Duma LLP is pleased to announce that partner Kendall Minter has been appointed as a board member of Georgia Music Partners.

Georgia Music Partners is a nonprofit organization that supports Georgia’s music industry through its commitment to promoting music within the state’s communities, schools and economy. For example, the organization played a large role in the passage of the Georgia Music Investment Act, which created a tax incentive for music production in the state of Georgia.

As a board member, Minter will contribute his expertise and resources to support the mission of Georgia Music Partners in enhancing the financial incentives for individuals and companies investing in the Georgia music community.

In addition to Minter’s membership with Georgia Music Partners, he is a co-founder and inaugural executive director of the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyer Association where he currently serves on the Advisory Board. He also previously served on the board of directors of the Rhythm & Blues Foundation and is Chairman Emeritus of the organization. Furthermore, Minter is a member of the board for the Living Legends Foundation and Sound Exchange, Inc.

Minter recently joined Taylor English. He has more than 40 years of experience as an internationally renowned entertainment attorney. Throughout his career, Minter has represented many high-profile clients in the music industry including Jermaine Dupri, The Backstreet Boys and the Ying Yang Twins, Lena Horne, Kirk Franklin, Tasha Cobbs Leonard, Third World, Peter Tosh, Musiq Soulchild, Ashanti and numerous mega-church pastors.

Representative of his work in the entertainment sector, Minter received the National Bar Association’s Entertainment & Sports Law Section “Living Legend Entertainment Attorney Award” in 2015. He is also listed in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in American Law, Who’s Who in Entertainment, Who’s Who in The East and Who’s Who Amongst Black Americans.

Minter serves as an adjunct professor at Georgia State University teaching copyright and music publishing.

Minter earned his bachelor’s and law degree from Cornell University.
