Georgia State University alumna Ann-Marie Campbell, executive vice president of U.S. Stores at The Home Depot, is one of 33 business school graduates who have been honored by AACSB International, the world’s largest business education alliance, as a 2019 Influential Leader.

AACSB annually recognizes notable alumni from AACSB-accredited business schools whose inspiring work is a model for the next generation of business leaders.

A 2005 graduate of the Executive MBA program of Georgia State’s Robinson College of Business, Campbell also earned a B.A. in philosophy from the College of Arts and Sciences in 2007. Campbell, who joined The Home Depot 33 years ago as a cashier, now oversees nearly 2,000 stores and the majority of its associates. Her leadership has helped propel the retailer from sales of $88.5 billion in 2015 to more than $100.9 billion in 2017, a 14 percent increase.

“Ann-Marie Campbell embodies innovative leadership.” said Richard Phillips, dean of the Robinson College. “Her associate-centric philosophy, passion for helping others realize their potential and commitment to ensuring stores remain core to The Home Depot’s interconnected shopping experience has resulted in higher sales, greater customer satisfaction and decreased employee turnover. We are proud she is a Robinson College alumna and grateful for her commitment to our students and the university.”

“AACSB is honored to recognize Ann-Marie Campbell and congratulates Georgia State University’s Robinson College of Business for its role in preparing alumni who are leading examples of business education as a force for good in the world,” said Thomas R. Robinson, president and  chief executive officer of AACSB. “The diversity of backgrounds, industries and career paths of the 2019 Class of Influential Leaders demonstrates that AACSB-accredited schools are preparing graduates to succeed wherever their passions may take them.”
