Two new, dedicated study spaces on the Kennesaw and Marietta campuses are now open seven days a week to serve the needs of Kennesaw State students. Combined, the two facilities, which share the name “The Study,” are designed to accommodate hundreds of KSU students looking for a quiet place to study.

“Students have asked for secure, convenient and reliable places to study where they can work on projects well after the libraries and student centers close,” said Kennesaw State President Pamela Whitten. “The opening of these facilities is another step in our student-centered philosophy to provide what our students need to be successful in their academic endeavors.”

The Study on the Marietta Campus is located in the Residential Community Center near Howell Hall and the Housing and Residence Life Office. The facility, which is open 24/7, has had a complete makeover, including new furniture and snack vending machines.

The Study on the Kennesaw Campus is situated within the north side of the Commons Dining Hall, close to the Central Deck, and opens when the library and student center close, giving students access to a quiet place to study 24/7. The space has a new entrance and is designed for group and individual study.

Both locations require a Talon Card for access. In the initial months, participation will be monitored to ensure that they are optimally meeting student demand. Cameras and increased security patrols will help to provide a safe environment, free from distraction.
