Staff Report From Metro Atlanta CEO
Friday, February 1st, 2019
As Leapley Construction celebrates its 20th year, the firm simultaneously announces Alan Scoggins as President, allowing Founder and former President, Meredith Leapley, to assume her role as CEO. Scoggins will assume day-to-day responsibility for the firm and has full control to build a strong team that will transition the company into its next decade.
Prior to joining Leapley Construction, Scoggins built an extensive resume in commercial construction as well as biomedical and healthcare construction. An Auburn graduate, he first became involved in hospital construction in college, eventually going on to spend seventeen years with Skanska USA Building (formerly Beers Construction Company).
Scoggins joined Leapley in October 2011 as Executive Vice President. In this role, he led company operations for commercial interiors projects throughout metro Atlanta. His industry experience, company knowledge, and ability to contribute a wealth of information and insight makes Scoggins a natural choice as president.
“Alan is an essential part of our team,” says Leapley. “He has been ready for this position for years. He is a solid, steady leader - the quiet strength of our firm to keep everyone focused, calm, and driven. He is the leader this company needs, the mentor no one wants to disappoint.”
“It’s important to me to empower the next generation of leaders at Leapley,” says Scoggins. “I want them to continue our culture and passion for providing excellent services. To me, that’s our success as a company. Now that Leapley is celebrating its 20th anniversary, it’s inspiring to see the path we’ve traveled and all the accomplishments we have achieved as a team, but the really exciting part is the future in store and the momentum we have going forward.”
