AMA Atlanta Announces 2019 Marketer for Good Winner

The Atlanta Chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA) will award Heather Schlesinger, chief marketing officer, Atlanta Community Food Bank, the Marketer for Good Award for her outstanding efforts in the not for profit arena. Schlesinger will be recognized at the 62nd annual AMY Awards taking place on March 21, at The Fairmont in Atlanta.

Schlesinger has spent close to 25 years empowering brands to succeed and is the strategic marketing force at the Atlanta Community Food Bank, the Southeast’s largest hunger relief organization.  Schlesinger oversees all marketing, communications, analytics, public affairs, education, and outreach work for the organization. She is at the forefront every single day, mobilizing people, food, and big ideas so that no one goes hungry in our community.

Schlesinger is a graduate of Boston University where she earned her bachelor’s degree in Mass Communications and completed the Culinary Scholar Program of the School of Hospitality Administration.  She also earned a master’s degree in Business Administration with a focus on Marketing from Brenau University and is on hiatus from the Ph.D. program for Innovation and Marketing Leadership at Antioch University.
