Thursday, March 28th, 2019
Premier gaming and digital lifestyle festival DreamHack will return to Atlanta for three days Friday, November 15 – Sunday, November 17, 2019, at the Georgia World Congress Center. For the second year in a row, DreamHack will host Hi-Rez Expo, welcoming more fans than ever before to experience the SMITE and Paladins World Championships in person, with event production and live broadcast by Skillshot Media.
The 24 hour-a-day festival weekend features all things gaming under one roof. Tickets are available HERE. Day passes will be $35; 3-day weekend passes start at $79. All passes include access to Hi-Rez Expo.
“We’re thrilled to bring DreamHack back to the great city of Atlanta,” said DreamHack CEO Marcus Lindmark. “Featuring all things gaming under one roof, this year’s festival is bigger and better than ever. We are thrilled to again offer the Hi-Rez Expo to our attendees, along with the 24-hour LAN party, professional esports, live music, the celebrity-hosted Cosplay Championship, and more — the DreamHack experience is unlike anything else.”
Native to Atlanta, Hi-Rez Expo is a three-day event that celebrates the communities, professional esports teams, cosplayers and fans who make Hi-Rez Studios’ games great. SMITE, the world's number one action multiplayer online battle arena (MOBA) game, has a thriving community and a competitive esports scene -- as does Paladins, an objective-based multiplayer hero shooter game. In addition to panels, meet and greets, playable stations, and a cosplay contest, Hi-Rez Expo gives attendees the opportunity to watch some of the best competitive SMITE and Paladins esports teams compete on the main stage for the World Champion title.
Hi-Rez Expo at DreamHack Atlanta will be the culmination of 26 weeks of competitive play in the SMITE and Paladins esports circuits. After climbing the ranks throughout the 2019 season, the top PC and console teams for SMITE and Paladins will attend this pinnacle event for a shot at earning a World Championship title. Both the SMITE and Paladins Pro Leagues kick off their 2019 seasons on March 28, streamed live on Mixer.
“We’re excited to once again partner with DreamHack, bring premier esports World Championship events to Atlanta, and host the Smite and Paladins community from all over the world within the biggest venue to date,” said Hi-Rez COO and President of Skillshot Media Todd Harris. “It looks like this year’s regular season for both Smite and Paladins will be the most competitive ever, and we are excited to have it culminate in epic fashion at DreamHack Atlanta.”
DreamHack is a gaming lifestyle festival where communities from all walks of gaming life come together for a three-day weekend celebrating digital culture IRL (in real life). DreamHack Atlanta will feature a 24-hour-a-day Local Area Network (LAN) party; esports gaming competitions; university matches; stream studio; console, PC and arcade games; tabletop games; expo; Cosplay Championship; art gallery; indie game zone; main stage with live music; panel discussions, workshops and keynote speakers; and a host of other activities. Gamers can participate or watch professionals compete in esports tournaments with hundreds of thousands of prize dollars on the line.
