Prominent Corporate Social Responsibility Experts to Speak at Young Leaders Conference

Experts from the private sector, nonprofit organizations and academia will examine the possibilities and pitfalls of corporate social responsibility at the 11th conference of the Young Leaders of the World Affairs Council of Atlanta. The half-day conference will be held Thursday, March 14 at the Metro Atlanta Chamber.

Speakers include:

  • Mary Ann Kessenich, senior vice president of community relations, Bank of America

  • Scott Brown, senior director of community affairs, Georgia-Pacific

  • Richard Lorenc, executive vice president, Foundation for Economic Education

  • Edward Queen, director of leadership programs,  Emory University Center for Ethics

  • Dan Reid, environmental program manager, Responsible Business Alliance

  • Omar Rodriguez-Vila, associate professor of marketing, Emory University

  • Signi Schneider, international CSR thought leader

  • Lain Shakespeare, corporate citizenship director, Mailchimp

  • Jeffrey Smith, audit and attest senior manager, Deloitte

Advance registration is required. Admission is free for students, $20 for council members and $40 for non-members.

The Young Leaders of the World Affairs Council of Atlanta are council members under age 40 who are interested in becoming more globally aware and connected. The Young Leaders’ mission is to provide a platform for current global thinking, knowledge sharing and skill-building on international affairs and global issues among emerging leaders and professionals of metro Atlanta.
