Caldwell-Cline Architects and Designers, a Marietta-based architectural firm specializing in custom homes, townhomes, renovations and commercial projects, is celebrating its 20th anniversary this year. The company is marking this milestone achievement, which includes completing over 1,000 design projects, with a special anniversary logo.

Founded in 1999, the firm has had several locations around the Marietta Square, but now calls its office on Crescent Circle home. As the firm has grown over the past 20 years, Founding Principal and Architect Roger Caldwell is joined at Caldwell-Cline by Tammy Caldwell, finance manager, and Tom Maffett, senior project manager, who has been with the firm for 15 years. The firm also includes Stacie Rogers, director of Portfolio Homes, who has been with Caldwell-Cline for 14 years as well as Project Managers Josh Caldwell and Zach Caldwell and Architect Ken Rich.

Regardless of the scale or complexity of a project, Caldwell-Cline’s goal has been to create timeless designs that are a direct reflection of their clients’ needs, personalities and specific styles. Caldwell-Cline has completed projects that include 25,000 square foot primary residences to 1,800 square foot second homes and everything in between. Caldwell-Cline has also designed single family homes and townhomes with many homebuilders, including Traton Homes, Kerley Family Homes, Elliott Custom Homes, David Weekley Homes, DR Horton and many more. This diverse mix of custom homes and homebuilder communities puts Caldwell-Cline in the unique position to balance the latest trends while understanding the cost and efficiency of building projects.

“It’s hard to believe it’s been 20 years. Before starting my own firm, I was spending hours commuting to and from work. I wanted to get back to my roots and improve my quality of life. Living and working in Marietta has not only done that, but also has given me the chance to truly be part of the community,” said Roger Caldwell – founding principal, Caldwell-Cline Architects and Designers.

While based in Marietta, Caldwell-Cline works across the United States including Georgia, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, Texas and Wisconsin, and has a satellite office in Destin, Florida. Locally their projects include the Tradition at Cross Park in Marietta, the Villages at Barrett Green, the cottages and stacked flats at Sterling Estates of East Cobb and West Cobb as well as Walton Woodstock Townhomes and Roxboro Townhomes in Buckhead.

“We have been honored to work on some of our clients’ first, second and third homes based on the quality of our work and the relationships have built and maintained. We are proud of the high-quality work we create and we are grateful for our many clients who we can now call friends. The commemorative 20th anniversary logo is a way to thank our customers for their years of support and confidence, and to show potential customers that our team is experienced in creating a custom home experience that will exceed their dreams,” added Caldwell.

Caldwell-Cline has been recognized numerous times for their design work, including winning “Best of Houzz Design” by Houzz.com for three years in a row - 2017, 2018 and 2019. In addition, one of their recently completed homes was featured in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution, and they had a plan that was built and featured in the 2017 Southern Living “Street of Hope.”

Roger Caldwell credits his success to his father who taught him to always treat people with respect and conduct his business in an honest and ethical manner.
