MedShare Welcomes Former UPS Vice President to Lead the Nonprofit’s Operations

MedShare, a global humanitarian aid organization headquartered in Atlanta, has appointed Randy Strang as the new Chief Operating Officer (COO). Mr. Strang has over 37 years of experience in supply chain executive leadership, strategic consulting, and operations. Before joining MedShare, Mr. Strang served as Vice President of Global Program Management at UPS where he led a global team of professionals who worked with UPS’ largest, most complex customers to ensure UPS met or exceeded all service level commitments.
Beginning April 1, 2019, Mr. Strang will lead operations as a member of MedShare’s Senior Leadership Team from the organization’s Atlanta, Georgia headquarters. In his capacity as COO, he is responsible for leading all of MedShare’s internal operations functions and advancing the organization's programs.

Mr. Strang’s extensive experience includes executive leadership, supply chain solutions design and implementation, global freight forwarding, global business to consumer operations, sales and operations planning, supply chain optimization, manufacturing operations and humanitarian aid supply chain support. He has a B.S. in Industrial and Systems Engineering from The Ohio State University, and attended the University of Houston’s, C.T. Bauer College of Business.
