Piedmont Atlanta Hospital has been named one of 100 Great Hospitals in America by Becker’s Healthcare. The list, released this week, includes hospitals that have been recognized nationally for excellence in clinical care, patient outcomes, and staff and physician satisfaction.
 
“This recognition is a reflection of the hard work and dedication of the staff at Piedmont Atlanta Hospital,” said Piedmont Atlanta CEO Patrick Battey, M.D., FACS. “I’m so proud of the work they do each day and of their demonstrated commitment to making a positive difference in every life we touch.”
 
Becker’s Healthcare specifically mentioned Piedmont Atlanta’s level 1 vascular center, 2018 Gold Quality Achievement Award from the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association’s Get with the Guidelines stroke program and the construction of Piedmont Atlanta Tower.
 
Hospitals are selected for this list based on analysis of ranking and award agencies, including U.S. News & World Report's 2018-19 rankings, CareChex, Healthgrades, CMS star ratings, Leapfrog grades and IBM Watson Health top hospitals.
