Wednesday, May 1st, 2019
Atlanta-based TriStar Real Estate Investments, a commercial real estate investment and asset management firm, has added Audrea N. Rease as a partner. Since July 2017 Rease has served as Vice President Asset Management for TriStar and Executive Director of 3Star Communities and Star-C Programs. She will continue in those roles, adding Partner to her roles and duties.
“Audrea’s unique experience, which is strong in finance, non-profit management and communications, has been highly valuable to our organizations and the stakeholders they serve,” says Margaret A. (Marjy) Stagmeier, a founding partner of TriStar, “so it is natural that we welcome her as a Partner.”
Rease’s background is in accounting, real estate investment management and nonprofit management. She began her career in public accounting, transitioning into real estate at Morgan Stanley/Lend Lease, where she served in portfolio management and asset management roles. Rease was then Director of Alumni Affairs and Special Initiatives at Leadership Atlanta.
“Audrea has an outstanding reputation and track record, and it has been a pleasure to work with her,” says W. Duncan Gibbs, also a founding partner of TriStar. “We are thrilled to have her stand beside us as a Partner.”
TriStar principals have been investing in core and value-add real estate since 1995. In 2013, they formed TriStar Real Estate Investment as an investment platform for American and German fund and direct investments in American commercial real estate, including a broad spectrum of property classes at opportune timing in the market cycles.
“I am proud to take on the role of Partner with TriStar, as it has been gratifying to deploy a broad range of my skills and heartening to do so for an organization that so artfully balances the roles of real estate investment and asset management, while also addressing issues close to my heart, especially including affordable housing and access to other crucial services for Atlantans who live at or below the poverty line.”
In 2018, TriStar launched a social impact fund to facilitate the proliferation of affordable housing in Atlanta. TriStar principals also founded Star-C Programs, a non-profit that serves as “a sustainable education model with an affordable housing solution.” Star-C programs – affordable housing, free access to on-site after-school programming, and affordable medical care – combat problems associated with community decline by reducing transiency and stabilizing communities.
Rease earned an MBA in real estate from Georgia State and an accounting degree from the University of North Carolina Charlotte.
