The Atlanta REALTORS Association (ARA) premier fundraising event of the year, the “REALTORS Raise the Roof” Spring FUNdraiser, was held May 2, at Rathbun’s on Krog Street near the BeltLine. ARA Members, Community Partners, and special guests rallied together to raise over $25,000 to aid in the Association's fundraising efforts to build its 18th Habitat for Humanity home.

The purpose of the partnership with Habitat is to promote the value of homeownership and the financial stability that comes from owning a home. The annual FUNdraiser allows ARA members to raise money for a community service project that directly relates to our industry. All proceeds from the event will benefit Atlanta Habitat for Humanity and the ARA Educational Foundation. The event featured fine cuisine, a live band, silent auction, raffle prizes and a cash drawing for five $1,000 prizes.

The ARA Fundraising Chair Robert Bairstow notes that “We are proud of our long-standing partnership with the Atlanta Habitat for Humanity, where we raise funds for a build to provide a quality home for a local family in need. We have a wonderfully generous community that recognizes home ownership fulfills the American Promise for families in the community.”
