Cobb Water System Ranked Best in Nation

The Cobb County Water System received the highest Customer Satisfaction rating in the South Region and nationally in J.D. Power’s 2019 Water Utility Residential Customer Satisfaction Study. This study measures satisfaction among residential customers of 89 water utilities that serve a population of 400,000 or more. We were ranked number one nationally in overall satisfaction and also number one nationally in the pricing subcategory. The other study subcategories are delivery (water quality and reliability), billing and payment, conservation, communications and customer service. The study heavily weights delivery and pricing in determining overall satisfaction.
Cobb County Water System continues to improve every year. In 2017, we were ranked fifth in the South Region, and in 2016 we were ranked sixth. Last year, Cobb was ranked third in the region and third nationally with an overall rating of 755. The top utility received an overall rating of 757 so it was very close. This year, our overall rating increased to 782. The second nationally ranked utility received an overall rating of 761.
