The Hope Clinic has Kicked off the $5 Million Dollar Strong Foundation Campaign, which will support the expansion of their services providing charitable medical care.  At the time of the public kick off, the effort had already secured $2,534,016 in pledges for the initiative, more than 50% of its goal.

The Kickoff event, hosted by Chairman Charlotte Nash, Clyde and Sandra Strickland, Dr. Daniel J. Kaufman, Dr. Marc Unterman, and Stephen K. Hill, was held Tuesday afternoon at the 1818 Club represents the public announcement of Hope Clinic’s Strong Foundation Campaign – which will seek to fund a five-year initiative that will increase the availability of healthcare services for the uninsured, underinsured, and indigent population in Gwinnett County.

“It is my conviction, and that of our leadership for Hope Clinic and the Strong Foundation Campaign, that this effort will expand our ability to serve our community,” said Dr. Bill Martin, who founded Hope Clinic in 2002.  Hope Clinic is a Christian, non-profit internal medicine clinic that provides medical care to the uninsured, underinsured, and indigent population in Gwinnett County.

Through the Strong Foundation Campaign, Hope Clinic will be able to provide to care for an estimated 5,000 new patients more than 13,000 additional office visits annually. The initiative will also allow Hope Clinic to expand office hours, expand chronic care management programs, and add full-time behavioral health personnel.

“It is imperative that we rally together to make sure that Gwinnett County is ready to seize the opportunity to provide the very highest quality of medical care to those with limited or no access to healthcare. The Strong Foundation Campaign is our opportunity to do just that,” said Campaign Vice- Chairman Stephen K. Hill, President and CEO of SKH Enterprises, Inc.

“The care provided by the Hope Clinic helps ease the burden of medical treatment for chronic health conditions that would fall on our first responders and emergency rooms,” said Shantell Wilson, Economic Development Manager for Gwinnett County Government and member of Strong Foundation’s Campaign Leadership Council.
