Women In Technology (WIT) today announced the VIP Reception Sponsor and master of ceremonies (MC) for its signature fundraising event, WIT Connect 2019, to be held on Thursday, June 20 at the Georgia Aquarium.

WIT is also proud to announce this year’s WIT Connect MC: TV & Radio Host Dana Barrett. Dana is a former programmer who worked her way up to VP before launching her media career. She currently hosts a daily current events-focused talk radio show on Atlanta's iHeart station, Talk Radio 640 WGST where she covers Tech each week in her Tech Tuesday segment.

“As a mother of a full-grown daughter and a former Tech entrepreneur, I know how important it is to encourage young women and minorities to embrace STEAM. The work WIT does for the community is essential for propelling girls and women into STEAM-related careers. Equally as important is leveraging the local Tech industry to support STEAM through a wonderful organization like WIT,” Barrett said.

Since its inception, WIT Connect has gathered nearly 700 of Atlanta’s top executives to raise more than $3.2 million to support the development of young girls and the advancement of women in science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM).

Each year, before the program, WIT hosts a special VIP Reception for invited WIT Connect guests and C-Suite executives participating in the Executive Auction. WIT is proud to announce that State Farm will host the VIP Reception for the third consecutive year.

The premier fundraising and networking event includes a unique executive auction which allows individuals to bid for exclusive time with top Atlanta C-Suite executives.
