United Community Bank has announced the addition of Scott Poole to its growing Atlanta team. In his role as Senior Vice President/Commercial Relationship Manager, Scott will manage and expand existing client relationships for the bank while actively pursuing new business in the Metro Atlanta market. Scott is based out of the bank’s Buckhead location.

“To have someone with Scott’s extensive background join our team is an honor,” said Doug Higgins, Atlanta Metro President for United Community Bank. “He is very familiar with the Atlanta market and deeply invested in his clients. I am excited for the potential relationships Scott will be able to create and cultivate with the active business community in Atlanta.”

Scott has more than 15 years of professional banking experience, all of which has been spent in the Southeast. Prior to joining United Community Bank, he served as a Vice President/Senior Business Relationship Manager for Wells Fargo in Atlanta. He has also served in business relationship roles for BB&T and Wachovia. Scott is a graduate of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte.

“Much of my background has been spent at larger institutions, so I am excited to join a regional bank that intentionally focuses closely on its clients and community,” said Scott. “United Community Bank is structured so that each of its markets has a dedicated decision maker, which results in increased speed and efficiency for the benefit of the borrowers. I look forward to providing financial solutions to the Atlanta community with the help of United’s products and services.”

Scott has been a resident of Atlanta for nearly 15 years. He and his wife Melanie attend Buckhead Church where they are involved with the organization’s community outreach programs. The couple has one son, Gavin.
