Two local families are making a big investment in education for the Upper Westside of Atlanta. By opening the 400thPrimrose® location in the U.S. and 46th in Georgia, the Franchise Owners of Primrose School of Atlanta Westside are investing approximately $3.5 million in the local community. At full capacity, the new school, which is located on Marietta Blvd., will create more than 40 full-time jobs and provide high-quality early education and care for more than 205 children and their families.
“As parents ourselves, we know firsthand the importance of high-quality early education and care,” said Natalie Williams, Primrose School of Atlanta Westside Franchise Owner. “Research shows early education contributes to a lifelong passion for learning, so we’re thrilled to offer this experience to more families in Atlanta who may be struggling to find quality care just like we did.”
Primrose School of Atlanta Westside, which opened on June 10, will celebrate its grand opening on Saturday, July 20, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Primrose Schools executives and local officials, including District 9 Councilman Dustin Hillis, will join Franchise Owners Jennifer Bunting-Graden, George Elba and Natalie and Chris Williams for a ribbon-cutting ceremony at 10 a.m. where a city proclamation celebrating the 400thPrimrose school will be unveiled.
During the event, children and families will have the opportunity to tour the 12,500-square-foot school and take part in family-friendly activities, including face painting, a petting zoo, demonstrations of the Primrose Balanced Learning® approach, arts and crafts, Spanish lessons and more. The school chef will make smoothies from the school’s organic Balanced Menus program, and Lisa’s Creperie food truck will also provide food and refreshments. Families can purchase $1 raffle tickets for a chance to win gift cards to local restaurants and stores and a grand-prize Tesla Model S child’s car. All proceeds will go to the Agape Youth Center to support its annual Great Backpack Give-Away. The first $250 in raffle ticket purchases will be matched by the Franchise Owners, adding to the over $10,000 already donated by the Franchise Owners and Primrose parents.
