Eversheds Sutherland Represents Cox Enterprises in Sale of Cox Media Group's Radio Station Portfolio

Eversheds Sutherland is pleased to announce that it represented Cox Enterprises on their agreement to sell Cox Media Group's Radio station portfolio as well as its CoxReps and Gamut national advertising businesses to a new broadcasting company that is substantially owned by private equity funds managed by affiliates of Apollo Global Management, LLC.
The transaction follows the February announcement of Eversheds Sutherland’s representation of Cox Enterprises’ agreement with funds managed by Apollo Global Management, LLC (Apollo) to buy a majority interest in Cox Media Group's broadcast television stations, including the company's radio, newspaper and TV properties in Ohio.
Cox Enterprises will maintain a minority stake in the new company, which will maintain the name "Cox Media Group" and will be headquartered in Atlanta, Georgia.
Eversheds Sutherland’s Corporate Partners Marc Rawls, Matthew Block, David Phillips and Kathleen Blaszak led the deal team for Cox Enterprises with support from Corporate attorneys Kristin Cleare, Lucero Bello, Maria Rivera-Diaz, Caroline Wood, Erin Park, Kyle Brown and Kyle Hunter.
