For three decades, the entrance to Suwanee Animal Hospital has served as a landmark for local residents with its cheerful dog-shaped mailbox. After months of construction, the veterinarians and staff at the highly reputed veterinary office have moved into a shiny new facility that will not only represent an expanded workspace, but also the beginning of a new era for Suwanee Animal Hospital and the families who love it.

Located at 65 Buford Highway, the original facility opened in 1989. As more and more families discovered all that the City of Suwanee had to offer and moved to the area, the clientele of dogs, cats, birds and other domestic pets at the veterinary office steadily grew. Thanks to increasing demand from its clients, it became clear that Suwanee Animal Hospital would need to expand.

Whereas the previous facility housed 3,000 SF for medicine and 750 SF for boarding, the new Suwanee Animal Hospital offers space enough to devote 8,600 SF for medicine and 8,650 for boarding. The new facility also offers its patients an expanded suite of services including a Doggie Daycare, Grooming and Retail Space – just to name a few.

"With the new facility, we will be expanding in nearly every area of service we offer," explained Dr. Joe Fitzgerald, lead veterinarian at Suwanee Animal Hospital. "We are going from just five exam rooms to double that number, and our operating area for surgical procedures will also be greatly increased. Beyond the growth of our facility and services, we plan to add more vets to the team, as well as support staff. The expansion of our team means we'll be able to serve even more of Suwanee's four-legged residents and their families."

Specializing in quality care and compassionate service for domestic pets, Suwanee Animal Hospital has an enduring reputation as one of the best veterinary providers in Gwinnett County. The most compelling evidence to support that repute is its long-standing relationships with the families it serves. Vets at Suwanee Animal Hospital were drawn to their profession for a combined love of animals and medicine. They seek the best healthcare solutions so that pets and the families who love them can be a part of one another's lives for as long as possible.
