Staff Report From Metro Atlanta CEO

Wednesday, August 21st, 2019

Gwinnett Young Professionals is pleased to announce its newest Leadership Institute class, which kicks off on August 20. More than 50 high-potential young professionals will be a part of the 2019-2020 cohort.

“Great leaders do not happen by accident,” said Gwinnett Chamber President & CEO Nick Masino. “In order for Gwinnett County to remain competitive, it is important to invest in the leaders of tomorrow, today.”

An initiative of the Gwinnett Chamber, Gwinnett Young Professionals Leadership Institute (GYPLI) provides an eight-month deep dive into leadership principles. Participants will hear insights from educational experts as well as learn first-hand from regional leaders. Examples of topics covered in the program include emotional intelligence, performance management, influence and power and strategic leadership.

“In less than a year, more than half of our workforce will be comprised of millennials,” said Gwinnett Young Professionals Coordinator Jessica Stewart. “We look forward to being a part of these individuals’ success as they advance into leadership roles across metro Atlanta.”
