The Nashville Entrepreneur Center announced its 2019 cohort for its Project Healthcare Portfolio, which includes Medicare Pathfinder, a health technology (HealthTech) startup in the Advanced Technology Development Center’s ATDC Accelerate portfolio.

Founded by CEO Scott Cadora, Medicare Pathfinder is a digital health company that uses artificial intelligence to optimize senior healthcare. The company’s AI engine evaluates the likely medical usage of each senior based upon their unique health profile and maps those needs against the hundreds of Medicare plan combinations to optimize each senior’s health coverage.

One of 18 startups selected, Atlanta, Georgia-based Medicare Pathfinder will participate in a year-long program designed to accelerate company success through specialized curriculum, industry immersion with leaders from Nashville’s healthcare industry, and individually-tailored mentoring and support. The Project Healthcare Portfolio program began in 2017.

This year, the program is also piloting a new component designed for earlier stage teams. The goal of this pre-Portfolio experience is to help prepare startups to eventually participate in the full Project Healthcare Portfolio program by providing them with access to similar resources that are better suited for their stage of development. Eight companies are participating in this year’s pilot program.
