BH Technology Group, a nonprofit dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of seniors in Greater Atlanta through the use of technology, is pleased to announce the appointment of Daniel Guelzo, Director of Talent Development at the staffing firm Optomi, to its Board of Directors.
Well-connected in his role at Optomi, Guelzo has held several roles in the organization to include building out the company’s recruitment and training programs, launching new divisions and helping to grow Optomi exponentially to over a $100 million run rate in just six years. A former Antisubmarine Air Control Instructor for the United States Navy, his approach to “paying it forward” by volunteering with Career Transition Ministry in Atlanta was featured on ABC World News Tonight with Diane Sawyer.
“Daniel is a true social media guru,” said Malcolm Willis, Chair of BH Technology’s Board of Directors. “He is also a nationally recognized recruiting expert. His experience will help BH Tech get the word out about the great work our volunteers are doing to engage seniors in technology, helping them live happier, healthier and longer lives.”
Explaining his decision to join BH Technology’s board, Guelzo says “Older adults paved the way for today’s digital economy and yet not all older adults are equipped to reap its benefits. BH Tech’s program of small group and one-on-one technology training sessions is having a transformative effect on the community.”
