2019-2020 APyeS! Awards to Honor District’s Best, Announce Excellence in Teaching and Principal of the Year Winners

Atlanta Public Schools will honor its best, including the Excellence in Teaching and Principal of the Year winners, along with the District’s top partners, GO Teams, and Family Engagement stakeholders at the annual APyeS! Awards – Tuesday, October 29, 5 p.m., at the Delta Flight Museum.
Finalists for District awards include:
· Students First Award: Sarrita Allen (Samuel M. Inman Middle School), Khalea S. Moore (Lenora P. Miles Elementary School) and Michelle Byrdsong-Walker (Paul L. Dunbar Elementary School)
· Schools First Award: Holly Morales (APS Human Resource Services), Troy Keller (APS Department of Education) and Dr. Sara Womack (APS Fine and Performing Arts)
· Assistant Principal of the Year Award: Joy Antone (Samuel M. Inman Middle School), Sharonda Murrell (Coretta Scott King Young Women's Leadership Academy) and Robert Stewart (Lenora P. Miles Elementary School)
· Principal of the Year Award: Robin Christian (Barack and Michelle Obama Academy), Audrey Sofianos (Morningside Elementary School) and Eulonda Washington (Coretta Scott King Young Women's Leadership Academy)
· Excellence in Teaching Award (honoring our coveted Teacher of the Year): Amanda Larkin (Sarah Smith Elementary School), Kamilah Rose-Pettway (Martin Luther King, Jr. Middle School) and Krissi Davis (Henry W. Grady High School)
